Introducing "Throwback Thursday's"

We are going to try a new Thursday post... "Throwback Thursday's". When I was looking around at different blogs for fun ideas, I saw a lot of "Throwback Thursdays". It seems fun and easy (we'll see how long I can keep up with it)... but here is my first one...

In this picture I was about 5 months pregnant and we were cleaning out the closet during one of my many "nesting" phases. hehe. Anyway, I found this cloth banner of my brother and I. You know when you go to the fairs and carnivals they have these little booths? Well, this was him and I when I was about 6-8 months old and he was about 6... how cute are we?

Introducing MR. & MRS. Pratt!

Saturday was the long awaited Pratt wedding! It was so beautiful and they look so happy. Brayden got to spend the night with my mom (Grammie) and they had so much fun eating ice cream, playing outside, playing during bath time and reading books. It was the first time Jarrod and I have gone out since having him. We had fun with all of our friends and it was nice to enjoy their company. I must say I missed baby like crazy and my mom finally told me to stop calling and checking in. The food was great, the company was even better and we are so happy for their little family of 4!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEW MR. & MRS. RYAN PRATT

Happy Birthday America!!

What an amazing week! We spent the WHOLE week of the 4th of July in Hood River with family. We stayed the majority of the time at Jarrod's parents and got to enjoy the beautiful weather, family and friends. Our little family was in the 4th of July parade with Kidz Dental Zone and Brayden had so much fun. We then headed to our friends for a BBQ and down to watch the fireworks.

Although Hood River was so much fun I'm hoping next year we can get back to our tradition of heading to the beach and riding our quad during this amazing holiday.

Hood River also had a special guest for the 4th of July festivities... Paul Allan (owner of the Blazers and Seahawks) On his 35 million dollar yacht, fully equipped with his own helicopter.

Ontario trip : Kelly Ogawa 1965-2012

Kelly Ogawa was my half brother and passed away a couple of weeks ago. We both had the honor of having the same father. Kelly was born with many physical challenges and managed to overcome so many life obstacles. Kelly was the oldest grandchild to Grandma and Grandpa Ogawa and was named after my uncle Kelly (Dad's brother) who passed away from Leukemia at age 18. He was much older then I was and we didn't have a very close relationship, but I still respected his life and now legacy he has left behind. He worked with social security for over 20 years. He will be missed by many.

It's nice to get to see family, but not in situations like these. We still made the best of it because that's what he would have wanted us to do.

Kelly was able to make it to our wedding in 2007
Uncle Jerry, Sister Shannon, Grandma, Uncle Gordy, Cousin Leslie & Aunt Cathy

Brayden also got to hang out with some of his favorite cousins... Leslie and Tommy

Happy Birthday MOM!

June 30th... my amazing mom's birthday! While Jarrod was out playing golf for Ryan's bachelor party I spent the majority of the day hanging out with my mom and sister. We went to one of her favorite local restaurants. The owner has been family friends for over 25 years. My mom deserves the best year and I know she had a super fun birthday (and not just because she spent it with me) hehe! There is also saltwater fish tanks and my mom and Brayden had such a fun time looking at all the fishies!
My sister looks so excited for the picture

Jarrod met up with us... and took our tourist picture. (He was so embarrassed)
