Our wish finally came true for this winter! We got our first snow of the year and it was a good one, about 7 inches in all! It seemed like the whole country was getting hit with snow except for us. But thankfully we got a good 3 days of snow and it was so much fun! To say Brayden loved the snow would be the understatement of the century. I think he needs to be on a bobsled team or something because if we let him, he would have slept outside on his sled. Between the snowmen, sledding, snowball fights and park we sure had a fun filled and packed 3 days. Thankfully Jarrod's work closed down so he got an extra long weekend to play with us! But just as fast as the snow came... it left and I'm pretty sure everyday since then Brayden has asked me to either go sledding or "when are all the snowflakes coming back..." Maybe we need to head to Mt. Hood more often!

Super Bowl Upset
Oh the Super Bowl... Before the game, I'm pretty sure one of Jarrod's dreams came true because his all-time, life-long, favorite team was headed to the game of all games. We were so excited to watch it with just our little family as we decided to have a relaxing weekend turning down multiple Super Bowl parties. Well, if his team decided to show up and play we would have kept the excitement rolling... BUT from the first snap to the last run it was probably the most depressing/worst game EVER. I hate to say it, but the Seahawks deserved to win 100% of that game. Jarrod is not a bandwagon fan and I know he will stick with his team until the bitter end, but it was rough one to watch. So, here's to next year... right?
Museum and Zoo Adventures
The other week the Belcher girls came to visit and it's pretty standard that we headed to the Children's Museum and the Zoo. Here is a look at our adventures. I'm not too sure why I didn't snap very many pictures of the girls, but at least we got a group one! As always, we love their visits!
2 Year Old (and husband) For Sale!
Oh My GOODNESS! Being a parent comes with it's challenges... and one of those challenges is keeping your cool with a 2 year old. Especially a 2 year old boy who sticks plastic sticks in your key ignition which then gets stuck and breaks off inside (which you can't get out) and then you have to call a tow truck and pay a locksmith and car repair shop to get it out. Just for the record... it's Jarrod's fault (haha). Of course Jarrod was on his way out of town for the week and was trying to be a good husband and clean out the car. He said he would take Brayden with him, which he often does because Brayden loves pretending to drive and push the buttons. Somehow Brayden got a hold of (Jarrod's) Starbucks coffee cup stopper (you know those green plastic sticks you use so your coffee doesn't spill) and thought it would be fun to pretend it was a key... well the rest is history and A LOT of $$$ later we now have a car that works... but we also have a 2 year old for sale and maybe a husband too :) I just have to keep telling myself how cute they are... over and over and over again!
Tackles & Sunshine
Here is a night that was so cute. I'm pretty sure one of Jarrod's dreams came true on this night. Our little family headed to the local park, it was a GORGEOUS night. A beautiful sunset and a quiet park made for an amazing and fun night. Jarrod and Brayden practiced tackles (for the first time) and catching a football. Jarrod is getting so excited that Brayden is getting older and turing into a little boy who loves all sports and you can tell Jarrod loves every second of it. I think we have a future football player (and coach??) on our hands! It sure does melt my heart to see them together :)
Blazer Game! Portland VS Oklahoma City
Since OKC is one of the best teams in the NBA right now, I thought I would give it a shot and see if Jarrod could score tickets from his work for this game... and by luck and luck alone... he got them! So we headed to the game! Brayden was so excited to go to another Blazer game and he is still their number ONE fan! Although we didn't win it was such a good game and so fun to watch Brayden have so much fun!
Portland - 95
Oklahoma City - 98
Sleigh Bells Ring... Are You Listening?
Brayden loved everything about Christmas this year. From the presents to the family time, the good food to the decorating. It was so fun to see such joy and amazement on his face. I think Jarrod and I equally loved seeing how excited he was, it's crazy how much joy and love your little kid can bring during the holiday season. Here is a little snapshot of decorating for Christmas and Christmas Morning at home.
Waiting Patiently for Santa on Christmas Eve... He was pretty excited Santa was going to come down the chimney. The sweetest thing EVER!
There is nothing better than Great Grandma's Cookies to leave out for Santa!
Christmas morning Brayden was so excited to come down stairs and see all the amazing gifts Santa brought him. When I was talking to him before we went down I said to him "Brayden do you know what today is..." and his responded with "It's Baby Jesus' BIRTHDAY" it was the cutest thing ever. Jarrod and I want to teach him what the true meaning of Christmas is... sure the presents, food, family and fun is a part of it... but we don't ever want him (or anyone) to forget why we celebrate today. Although I'm pretty sure he thinks Santa is pretty amazing for bringing him this train table :) Two thumbs up for SANTA and Baby Jesus!!
It's not REALLY Christmas without a crackling fire and Christmas movies ALL day long!
We are so blessed to have such an amazing life. Happy Holiday's to all of our friends and family!
